From €5. From EUR 100 you get 10% more, from EUR 500, 20% more. Each top-up comes with its invoice.

When the balance falls under the amount you choose, your saved card tops it up. A monthly limit caps how much it may charge.

About pricing
- What does a check cost?
- An image costs the components its workflow uses, €0.002 for a usual workflow. A text costs its rules and AI models per started 1,000 characters. The cost of each workflow shows next to its save button, so you know it before you save. A fraud decision costs €0.001 and a fraud event €0.0002.
- What is free?
- Every account gets up to 2,000 free checks each month (€2.00 of use), with every category and the full answer. It is shared by moderation checks and fraud calls. It does not carry over to the next month, and no card is needed.
- How do I top up?
- From the billing page, by card, from €5. You can also let your saved card top up the balance on its own when it runs low, within a monthly limit you set.
- What happens when the balance is empty?
- The API answers 429 quota_exceeded until you top up or the next month's free euros arrive. A check already under way is finished, and any small amount it went over is taken from the next top-up.
- What is the advanced reading?
- Once you have topped up, a text workflow can send a text that the first check sends to review to a second, deeper reading by a more advanced AI model. It rejects what clearly breaks the policy, accepts the false alarms and leaves the rest in review. It costs €0.002 per text it reads. The model runs at a sub-processor listed on the sub-processors page.
- Does my balance expire?
- A top-up stays usable for 12 months from its purchase. The oldest euros are used first. Top-ups are not refunded.
- Are these prices final, and what about VAT?
- These are the beta prices, in euros. VAT is not included and is added at checkout where it applies; a business can give its VAT number for a reverse charge. Every top-up has its invoice in the billing page. openshield is sold to businesses.
